I've found the team at UCLH to be incredibly supportive and friendly. There's a real sense of camaraderie, which makes even the most challenging shifts manageable. The Trust is committed to providing high-quality patient care, and that's something I really value. The location is very convenient with good transport links.
Rota management could be improved. It can be difficult to swap shifts at short notice.
UCLH provides excellent opportunities for career progression. There are numerous training courses and development programmes available to help staff reach their full potential. The management team is supportive and encourages innovation. The on-site nursery is a great benefit for working parents.
The pay could be more competitive, especially considering the cost of living in London. The workload can be intense at times.
The training opportunities at UCLH are second to none. I've completed several specialist courses funded by the Trust, significantly enhancing my skills. The consultant support is readily available and incredibly helpful, fostering a supportive learning environment. The new proton beam therapy centre is a real asset.
The rota can be quite demanding, especially during peak times. It would be beneficial to have more protected time for personal study and reflection.
